Zeal & Pristine’s little sibling that covers big acts

Welcome to Syd's Broken Hearts Club

You lied to me, my friends. You all told me The Batman was a fire film and I'm here to tell you it was very mid. I watched emo Bruce Wayne walk in slow motion and fail to do his job for 3 hours. I'm going to forgive you though because this Syd album just dropped and it has realigned my chakras.

‘Broken Hearts Club’ finds ‘The Internet’ frontwoman exploring themes of toxic relationships, trust issues, the beginnings, and the aftermath of love. Syd remains one of the most unique beautiful voices in music. Her soft satiny voice easily massages your earlobes throughout the album.

My go-to here is ‘Fast Car’, a carefree vibe about late-night joy rides and car sex. I know the single has been out for a while but kudos to Syd for being able to craft a song with that much replay value.

Syd continues to display her elite artistry throughout with top-tier harmonies, melodies, and runs that would make your favorite singer rethink their latest effort. Stand-out songs like ‘CYBAH’, the Kehlani assisted ‘Out Loud’ and ‘BMHWDY’ haven’t left my playlist and will probably have it in a chokehold for the foreseeable future. Trust me ‘BMHWDY’ just hits DIFFERENT. 5 out of 5 flame emojis if you will.

Syd continues to be an underrated gem who deserves more spotlight and way more flowers so go stream ‘Broken Hearts Club’ and share it with your ex my friends. Ok, maybe not your ex but share it with someone asap. While you do that I gotta go put out an APB for my barber and figure out why he hasn’t been at the shop or what made him think he could go on vacation without telling me. Peace.
