Grimm Lynn

My friends, I have to apologize. It's been weeks since I brought you some new waves from my Apple Music expeditions. I’ll keep it a buck with you. Between catching covid and turning 32 in the same month I think I’m good with just calling it a wrap on 2022. All the important things are out of the way now. Still I’m back to put you on to the new hotness as usual. I’m proud of you though because you pulled through and now here I am with new music and good advice.

Over the weekend between realizing Belly is top 5 “good trash” movies of all time and that I may be the illest nigga to own a mini waffle maker I was put on to music from Grimm Lynn

sidenote: Imma come clean those R&B/Soul beats got me in a Jon Jones chokehold. I don't know if it's because I just turned 32 or the fact I haven't been to the club in like 3 years but they get my art every fucking time.

Through multiple listens and playbacks I noticed Grimm does an immaculate job of meshing and blending with the beats so that it's almost like his voice is another instrument in the production. Songs like “Whateva U Need” and “Do 2 Me”, a collaborative effort with FLWR CHYLD, stand out to me most. Also, this is music that’s best experienced with good wine and a shorty who only gets on your nerves between my career games in 2k.

This is only the beginning for Grimm and he’s one of those artists you’re gonna want to be early on. I suggest running through the “Body” EP. Off the top of my head I can’t think of any other artist he’s similar to and that sort of thing is a breath of fresh air in a world where it's getting harder and harder to tell artists apart.

Well, my friends, I gave you a new wave and Valentine’s Day suggestions. What else do you want from me? I gotta go watch Denzel be a crooked cop and get shot outside the projects. While I do that go listen to Grimm Lynn.
