Boundaries by Cam Gnarly
Winter is here, my friends. It's in full effect in California which means its almost 69 degrees outside. Which also means It's time to break out the hoodies and puffy coats. On top of that all the wintertime music is dropping and I do not mean "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey. I mean the relationship vibes. Songs to send your current work or ex-work, whichever one you're dealing with. So, as usual, your favorite cousin Vince did the groundwork for you and checked out "Boundaries" by Cam Gnarly.
Cam taps into something we all know about. That feeling before the breakup when you know things are "Steve Nash on the Lakers" levels of washed up. When you only need space…but like a large amount of it…immediately. "I gotta leave this bitch where I found her" is one of the funniest lines I've heard put in melodic form on a song, but it catches on.
Sidenote: Women, I need you to understand when we need our space. Once it hits the 4th quarter of a 2k game, I can promise you whatever your homegirl told you about the new nigga she just started dating is not anywhere near as important as the 40 piece I am trying to drop on the niggas in the Rec. How deep I gotta dig for you to pipe down?
Cam delivers a catchy sing-a-long style hook over a Drip Gordon beat that doesn't do too much but succeeds in doing just enough to lay perfectly beneath Cam's theme of wanting to get away from the relationship before things go left and focus on himself. Remember, my friends, self-care is important even if you have to break a heart in the process. It's a good addition to your playlist rotation and will easily be in mine.
Its currently on all streaming platforms as the first song on Cam’s “Love Really Is” project and you can listen by watching the video over and over. With that being said, that's all from me, my friends. Stay wavy, stay dangerous, but also stay away from anyone in all black crocs…no specific reason…that just seems like very suspicious behavior…Check out the video for Cam Gnarly's "Boundaries" below.
