Talladega by Rikki Blu

It's mad crazy out here. First, Melo and LaLa break up; now, every day, I wake up and see Damon dash is trying to sell reasonable doubt NFTs. If that wasn't crazy enough, it's been an entire month since I sat in my barber's chair as two old dudes argued over who should play Alonzo in a training day remake. Amidst all of that, I came across a song that admittedly should've already been on at least two of my Apple Music playlists. Talladega by Rikki Blu is the song you need to hear.

Produced by Offkey, the beat starts with eerie notes that sound like something right out of a horror film about possessed dolls before being blessed by filtered dark kicks.

Side note: did anybody else's grandma have those creepy-ass porcelain dolls in the crib? What the fuck and who the fuck was that for? And why did she still expect me to wanna come over with those sitting in the hallway plotting on my downfall?

Anyway, let me say Rikki took off on this one. So much so that even the hook is filled with lines that make you do the screwface. "Bringing up smoke when you know you gon ventilate." There's only one official verse so it plays into the streaming numbers game because it makes you want to run it back. And honestly, you should.

This song could fit anywhere; you can include it in your turn-up playlist or even your GYM Day playlist. But this isn't for those lazy days, nah, this is pure motivation; to help you get things done. While writing this, I'm not sure if Talladega will appear on a project, but Rikki, if you see this, the streets need that, the homes need it, and the Honda Accord with the expired tags in my apartment complex needs that too.

Alright, my friends, I'm off to tell my landlord that mad games dropped this month, so she has to 1v1 me in Call of Duty for the rent. While I do that, go stream Talladega by Rikki Blu on all platforms and check out the video below.
