Khari, Cincinnati’s Star, drops newest single Check
Imagine with me, if Dreamville and Pro Era had a baby, what would he sound like? We can expect beats with a slight boom bap and trap influence and sweet samples, maybe some album concepts, and you cannot forget the bars. Artist and rapper Khari is relatively new to the underground scene and continues to make a lane for himself in a similar vein to his aforementioned predecessors. Khari allows himself to be vulnerable with his fans and speaks from a place of truth to connect with audiences through his music which creates a product in the industry that is raw and difficult to replicate.
Rappers always bring different flavors to the game. Khari raps on a bevy of topics ranging from social issues and African American Culture to everyday life. However, there has always been a dilemma with labeling an artist in the industry as ‘conscious’. Khari straddles the genre’s conscious line as he could fit the description of an artist in this lane. What makes him different is his ability to maintain the energy and excitement that keeps fans hooked.
With Khari’s most recent projects, This is How We Feel: Act 2 (Institutionalized) & This is How We Feel: Act 1 (Trapped) his fans can rest assured that they will be pleasantly surprised, as these albums are straight heat. As the year is coming to a close and Khari’s newest single Check being released on August 26th and a few freestyles dropping on Youtube, Khari looks to ride this wave to emerge in the Cincinnati underground.
