Run this back: Advance by Cam Archer

Advance by Cam Archer

Look, I'm going to come clean; this week has been stressful. Verzuz announced Dipset VS. The Lox, and not only am I seeing people I called family siding with The Lox, but I'm also absolutely unsure about where my American flag bandana, white durag, and oversized throwback Iverson jersey are. How can I truly restore the feeling without those items?

I took a break from that and opened my Apple Music because what else can you do when the pressures of life are perched perfectly upon your shoulders? I came across a new song from California's own Cam Archer, and this is one you need in your libraries, my friends. Put it right next to that new Tyler album and those old Kanye songs you keep in rotation in hopes he'll return to that sound.

Advance finds Cam rapp…you know what, let's talk honest here. I don't want to put this nicely. Cam is talking that shit. That pure "I do this at a high level, I have a plan, and there ain't nothing you can do to stop me" shit. While the beat has a catchier and somewhat nicer mood to it, the raps are not. Even when the melodic hook comes in, Cam reassures you he gon let you know in advance he can't be out fucking with you lames no more...Literally...those are his words, so if you a lame, take it up with him I'm just the messenger.

I would assume there's an album on the way after this release, and I hope I'm right. This is champion music. The soundtrack to eating your cinnamon toast crunch(cereal poured first of course) brushing your teeth then going to get shit done.

It's been cool, my friends. I now need to figure out the perfect excuses I'm going to make for Chris Paul now that the suns lost. keep it player and listen to 'Advance' by Cam Archer on all platforms.

Also, sidenote because I could never leave you without one: Some of you lied to me, Space Jam 2 is a 10/10, and I do not care what you or your bald guy from Chicago nostalgia have to say about it b. I'm out.
