CDZ!
Do you ever find yourself getting lost in a scene, maybe a portrait, landscape, or a moment? It is a similar feeling you’ll get listening to any project from CDZ!. The Georgia native’s music is a genre-bending experience, usually expressed through the form of hip hop. A soundscape, CDZ!’s music is an immersive listening experience for the listener.
CDZ! began making music in 2016 with his early track Bottles. The track was and is as he puts it, “fly as quidditch.” Kendrick Lamar’s song Blow my high from Section 8.0, is sampled throughout CDZ!’s song. The Kendrick sample is paired with Spottieottiedopaliscious-esque horns and drums, truly a gem in the rubble. Bottles was a distant relative or lost offspring of ATLiens and would set the tone for his discography.
CDZ! music would smoothen around the edges while maintaining his artistry throughout the years. He would produce, rap, sing, and even direct music videos of absolute jams, steadily broadening his horizons as an artist. Whether he’s floating over hypnotic lulling beats alongside features like Better Days and For the Love, or lyrically spazzing on tracks like Lucky7 and Big Talk; CDZ!’s music progressed.
CDZ!’s 2022 project, The Space Between Us, is his version of a Madlib solo album; an obscure assortment and arrangement of music. A complete musical expression of an artist, placing words and chords at his leisure. The Space Between Us is on pace with CDZ! entire catalogue, genre-defying and innovative. It is only a matter of time before industry Hip-Hop acknowledges the underground trailblazer, CDZ!. Stream CDZ! and stay ahead of the curve.
