Alive with Saïna

Directly from London, UK, Saïna brings a vulnerable but fresh perspective to the Neo-Soul and R&B scene. At only 7 years old, Saïna started learning how to play the piano, this inspired her to start  writing her first songs when she was around 12. Saïna officially released her first inspiring song in march of 2021, “Wrong Love” describes a toxic relationship through the use of strong songwriting skills that construct a powerful, emotional and gripping storyline. The song starts with a cool laid back vibe with aspirated vocals that perform interesting melodic details, contrasting with the entrance of the main soothing vocals. “Wrong Love”  exposes an uncomfortable situation but the song keeps a relaxed tone with the jazzy trumpets and chill beat, ending with what seems like the sound of rain, perhaps implying that the storm has already passed.

In 2022, Saïna gifted us a new and provocative song, “Alive”, she also featured in Marvin Jupiter and The Xutians release, “Love Anthem”.

“Love Anthem” delivers an impactful entrance with the voices coming together with a beat that reminisces to a more ancient ambience. It’s an exhilarating fast paced track filled with innovative colorful details played by the synth and a solid rap. Saïna’s voice gives the song the balance it needs for a smooth calling of all the lovers.

The song, “Alive”, starts with a simple guitar strum that quickly turns into an exciting and sensual R&B track blended with Afro beats. Once again, Saïna’s vocals are sweet and clear in a track that demands movement with a rhythmic instrumental that fosters a danceable environment. The singer incorporates some Lo-Fi feels into her songs, it can be the beat or the synth, but it is amazing that she doesn’t surrender to one genre and just does her own thing.

If you thought that was all, you are not ready because if you go to Saïna’s website and subscribe to the newsletter you get exclusive access to a warm and happy tone song you don’t want to miss. There is a soft, gentle but captivating guitar with a beat that promotes cohesion and unifies the whole composition creating a melody that dialogues with the mellow vocals of Saïna. We witness, one more time, how the singer perfectly executes the balance between the lyrics that portray a sad moment or situation with the good vibes of the instrumentation. Keep your eyes and ears open for Saïna, I sense something bigger is coming and I am ready for it! Meanwhile I will keep vibin’ with what we have, make sure you check her music on all streaming services.
