REAL NIGGA GROCERIES BY TRAYTRILLA
After a few days of coughing and having a stuffy nose, my friends, I am back! And let me say this; Ima need science to figure out what it is in the human mind that makes niggas think they need to touch your shoulder while talking to you.
I avoided all human interaction this past week because people don't know how to keep their hands off me while talking. I guess the change was in the air because I even stepped outside my Apple Music bubble to find new waves for you. Yes, I know I didn't have to, but I did. Thank me later.
While moving through the Bandcamp streets, I found "Real Nigga Groceries" by Traytrilla, and it is absolutely fire. RNG finds Tray painting a vibrant picture of his everyday life and ambitions over a pure soul sample laced beat. Think Curren$y or Cole. The flow reminds me of early Dom Kennedy but is more intricate. "I ain't got the time for hoes, I can only chase my dreams" I couldn't have said it better myself.
Sidenote: I swear these "hoes" have all the time in the world when you're chasing your dreams, but when you're at home doing absolutely nothing on a Friday night, they are mad busy and highly unavailable. Focus on yourselves, kings, and queens.
Traytrilla just dropped a three-pack called Trilla Playa$ to hold us over until Stoned Alone is ready on August 31st. At the moment, I'm not sure if it's going to be on all platforms, but even if it's only on Bandcamp, it will be well worth the seven dollar price tag.
Alright, that's all I have on that, my friends. I'm going to watch the Malice In The Palace documentary to find out if they ever reconstructed the face of whoever Ron Artest superman punched in the crowd. Till I return, listen to "Real Nigga Groceries" by Traytrilla.
