Artists That Need To Make Music Together

Let’s face it, in a perfect world, we’ve all had artists we wish would collaborate together. Whether it would be for a concert or just to hear a new song. Most artists probably don't do this because their genre's don't mix, scheduling conflicts due to time constraints or simply because no one has ever thought of it. Fans just like myself are just bursting with anticipation at the thought of one day turning on the radio and hearing the radio host announce the premiere of a song featuring the two or more of their favorite artists. Here’s a list compiled of 4 artists that definitely could make beautiful music together.

Chris Brown and Lucky Daye

Now, many people would be a bit confused as to why an R&B artist such as Chris Brown would be compelled to compose a song with another R&B artist even more eclectic and flamboyant such as Lucky Daye. While it’s not uncommon to wish for these two vocal personalities to cohabitate, (think Prince and Michael Jackson) these two artists would undoubtedly make a nice couple of songs together. With megastar Chris Brown’s voice, you easily have a talented person who has the ability to go from tenor and hit high notes that are phenomenal, and let’s not forget this man’s ability to switch from R&B, to Pop, to Hip Hop at will with the change in nature of his studio albums. Added with his gift to do graffiti (good for album covers) and his vibrant playful nature (good for morale), in the studio, he needs someone who can also challenge him to either forgo autotuned assisted tracks or bring them to new heights. Lucky Daye is the man with the plan here. Lucky mostly plays with funky tunes and nostalgic rhythms (ex. Candy Drip, Over) and that would be beneficial to Brown’s voice to help it mellow out a bit. Just imagine, all of that, mixed with both of these artists' ability to write songs that is without a doubt, on a different caliber than most of their predecessors and you’ve got some hit records.

Second, on this list of artists that need to create together is none other than R&B singer Eric Bellinger and R&B, Hip-Hop singer/rapper Bryson Tiller. The first reason why these two should create some tunes together is because of their songwriting abilities. I mean, you’ve got Bellinger, who has credits for doing songs for Chris Brown (Fine China, Back To Love) and for Usher (Lemme See). His own songs are in a league of his own as they mix romance with beats anyone could dance to. Bryson Tiller has already showcased how amazing he can be with his pen, even nicknaming himself “Pen Griffey” of all things. The release of Tiller’s TrapSoul album is proof of how creative a person can be when trying to add flair to their own experiences. The two of these gentlemen have the potential to jump on the mic and start something special for our listening ears.

Number three on the list are two legends in their own rights Rihanna and Beyonce. Now as an R&B and Pop artist, Beyonce has already shown she can add her vocals to tracks without overshadowing the other artist and she can adapt to the flow and melody. The joint collaboration she did with Shakira on “Beautiful Liar” was record-breaking in the typical fashion of her way to exude sexiness and confidence. Rihanna on the other hand, has no problem dabbling in different genres with her core being reggae and pop but going so far as to hook up with other genres like Hip-Hop to showcase her rapping talents or sing on a hook. Both artists would be able to add their own spin on genres that they are comfortable with. Imagine the views!

The last installment of the artists that need to do songs together is Alicia Keys and Adele. Both artists are powerhouse vocalists in their own right and both styles complement each other quite well. Alicia Keys’ sound is R&B but when paired with her pianist skills creates ballads that rival Elton John’s. Adele is no voice to sleep on either, with her ballads having the ability to make one both cry at the end of a romance with a jilted lover or cry about life in general. Together, these two have the capability to create a record worthy of a surprise proposal or simply taking long walks on the beach.

Hopefully, while perusing this article, you can also come to the same conclusion that these artists would sound good together. Or, perhaps you could come up with other artists that would be better suited to fit the mold or break it entirely.
