Vibe With Justin Michael
I now have 9,684 songs in my song library, my friends, so you know I’m in these Apple Music streets A LOT. I have Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, Pop, and etc. It is easy for sounds to start blending making everything sound the same. I’ll be honest after going through multiple submissions and trips through many playlists you start wondering if you’re listening to the same song you just heard 30 minutes ago. That’s why it's refreshing when you hear something that stands out from the usual. Your ears perk up and all is right with the world for at least two minutes. I say all of that to let you know this week I came across “Vibe With” by Houston artist Justin Michael.
On “Vibe With” Justin explores themes of toxic relationships and the trust issues we face getting out of them. “I don’t really trust nobody, stabbed in the back in the past I’m sorry” he croons over mellow drums. The heavily autotune-assisted melodies reminiscent of Lil Uzi Vert take the carefully crafted harmonies to the next level. We’ve all been through that breakup that makes you move in questionable ways. A bad breakup once had me wearing Nike shoes with Adidas sweats… a horrendous decision I know but I was heartbroken. The song is listed under R&B/Soul but Justin comes through with much more of a Rockstar vibe that you can hear clearly in his unique voice. Houston might have another star on their hands but only time and Justin himself will tell.
Listen to “Vibe With” by Justin Michael. It’s available on all platforms and it might just help you out if you’ve been through a bad breakup, especially if you’re trying to cope with the fact you just lost your girl to the streets.
