Finding your footing in this world can be a hard thing to do. You may go down various avenues until you find your right path. Take James Remy, for example, he went from producing music, to rapping, to combining all his talents to produce Ear Of Gold. A record label that is ready to exceed past all limits like Master P, in order to become a safe haven for all artists and music producers.

What made you create Ear of Gold? I just wanted to make my own label and [potential] magazine where I can do what the fuck I want, and not have to follow all the rules.

With a name like Ear of Gold, you can't help but wonder how, you came up with that? I’ve always had a good ear for up incoming artists before they blow up, even [producers], so it only made sense.

You've always had a music background, producing even rapping. Now you have a label, would you say this step was always in the plan? I’ve always had the Ear of Gold idea I just didn't know what to do with it, so once I made an Instagram, I just started moving.  

Would you say that music labels control the music that we hear today? I would say that we are helping it, the artists control the sound. The label just try’s to help take it to the next level.

What do you say to the ones who say the music scene lacks substance? A lot of music is trendy. But Timeless music will last forever

Are there any upcoming artists that you are a fan of? Of course, Prolific Suave, Dar and Karoo and Manny just to name a few.

What advice would you give to those that one to be in this filed one day? Don't follow the typical rules, and create what you love.

At the end of this year, what do you hope to accomplish? I want the brand to progress, get a bigger budget so I can bring all (my) ideas to life.
