Born and raised in New Jersey, Eileen Tiffany aka Eila, just dropped the self-titled album she had been teasing us with since 2020! It was after singing for an audience for the first time, when she was in the 5th grade, that Eila knew she could do that for the rest of her life, and here we are. In May 2020, she released her first single, “Fire”, a dreamy Pop inspired track filled with colorful harmonies that establish a relaxed atmosphere. The song’s initial rhythmic pattern develops into a countermelody present in the backing vocals, where the sweet tone and smooth whispered voice display the singer’s diverse vocal capabilities. Later that year, the artist released “Lavender Dreams”, an exciting and refreshing track, the first single that takes part in the album as the last song. Throughout 2021, Eila continued releasing singles from her album, “Give It To Me”, which is a song that leaves us wanting more, with a sneaky bass, a joyful beat, and seductive breathy vocals. “Deep End” is the third song of the album, it’s a provocative and inviting track that features Koi Cola. It begins with an aspirated distant voice followed by a calm instrumental filled with little effects and details, evolving with the strong entrance of the vocals and a great guitar solo.

Eila gifted us an entire album full of amazing, blissful, and bold songs. “All In” is a pop song in its splendor, with a deep bass, a strong energized fast-paced beat creating a more rhythmic and danceable track with an almost spoken part that draws your attention. My personal favorite, “Unlove”, starts further away like an old recording combined with a modern beat and initial intentional white noise. The captivating song is filled with beautiful harmonies, revealing an incisive chorus with a sensual character. There is also the construction of sub narratives created by the dialogue and the very good instrumental interventions like the emphatic use of the hi hats. Lastly, “Hung Up” couldn’t go unnoticed. Playful, with a solid accented beat. a gripping instrumental, and more present vocals where the backing vocals counterpoint with the melody giving it its catchy essence.

Eila just completely nailed her debut album, leaving the bar raised high for what is coming next. If anyone can overcome those high expectations is herself so let’s sit, wait, and vibe with what we have for now. I am all in.
