Gilldavinci won’t Save Her

If Street Fighter had an explicit soundtrack, Save Her would definitely make the album.

Save Her is less than three minutes long, and is an indication of Gilldavinci’s style. He promptly begins the chorus once the beat drops.  His all black attire throughout the video accentuates the beat’s bleak tone. His producer, FIOCOTI effectively uses a soulful sample throughout the grimy beat. Gilldavinci starts rapping about his journey. “Padded lock connected to these chains shackles me, will I ever break free from this cage actually?” He seems introspective while rapping over FIOCOTI’s ominous beat. Gilldavinci’s ad-libs throughout the song add a Kid Cudi, and Travis Scott type of popish energy.

The imagery within Gilldavinci’s video accentuates his theme. The scene of him wearing an all black outfit in an all white building, while rapping his lyrics is symbolic. He raps about securing a future for himself and his team, in spite of the song being titled Save Her, he doesn’t plan to save damsels.
