The Atlanta based artist has partnered with other singers and rappers such as Epic and S.U.R.F. for her ep “The Only Way Out is Through”. She’s also appeared on albums like DJ 23’s “A League of My Own 2” and Neef’s “Count Me In”.
What makes Kenarri stand out from other R&B rappers is her vocal and lyrical talent. Her voice is clear and understandable, even in faster-paced songs such as “Japan” and “Can’t Relax”. Kenarri has outdone herself with the drop of this new single; something hard to do considering how well-done her previous work has been. On inspiration for “Done Up”, Kenarri has said “I was fed up. I was tired. But not in a bad way. These feelings inspired me to reinvent myself and write a different story. The story that I want to re-write is that, as a woman, I don't have to tolerate that. Get rid of everything that makes you feel less than worth it! Get done up, and forget about it!”
