I have an important question, my friends. Who the hell is green-lighting all these remakes in Hollywood? And why were guns not immediately drawn in the office when someone suggested The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air remake? I need those answers a little later, but we have more important things to discuss for now. 

This new SVT EP by Sora has euro-stepped its way into my Apple Music library, and I now need to see if it should be streamed repeatedly over 5g LTE speeds, or is it a double behind the back Steph curry three into the recycle bin? 

First things first, I let the intro "So You Know" spin through my Beats headphones, and while it's not my favorite, it's enough to keep me around. Good beat and a good steady melody, but not much more than that. More so, a simple layup off the glass. 

Now we get to "SHKRT." At the moment, this is probably my favorite on the EP. Starting with filtered keys, as soon as the drums come in and Sora hits a soprano "Shkrt, Shkrt" I'm sold. The hook is hypnotic and had me singing it long after the song was over. Filled with lines you send shorty after the DMs are a success, Sora finds a good pocket to rap in. It's melodic rap that's just as catchy as the hook. Five flame emojis here. 

Track two ends, and we move into "Come See About Me," Perfect fucking follow-up. The light piano keys didn't prepare me for the muddy kicks to drop but got dammit I love the beat on this one. "If you feeling a way then come and see about me," he echoes as the drums drop out. You need to hear this poolside. Close to a pretty woman with her toes out.

 Sidenote: The pandemic had us missing out on a plethora of poolside vibes. Next year we poolside regardless. I will be masked up in the 7ft side if I got to. 

"SVT" comes on, and at this point, Sora is 3.5 out of 4 as far as songs go. "This bottle of Hennessey sitting right there, and it won't drink itself." I prefer Jack Daniels Honey myself, but the line is still fire. This is that song you get in your "End of the relationship" bag too. Don't even pretend like you never had a playlist of sad-ass songs that got way more spins when the relationship was close to an end. The song is only two minutes, but Sora, if you're reading this, it's not too late to drop the extended version with an extra verse. This seems like it could be the perfect vibe for Sora cause the entire song is quotable. "House is full, but I'm here by myself" You're out of your mind if you think I'm not using that in the caption for the next super fire pic I take at a kickback. 

"24/7" begins, and the production hasn't fallen off at all. I have to note here that this is also a very well-sequenced EP. That's usually a tricky thing on EPs when you only have so much time. Channel 7 5 and SOMB'R do what needed to be done on the feature part of things. No skips at all; this is good. These are the sad boy vibes we need. If you miss your ex, send them this song with the thinking of you text you will be alright, my friends. 

The EP ends with "Motions." Which is the perfect song to end with. Though Sora has touched different emotions throughout the short EP, every artist needs that song that is a bit more personal than everything else. It's almost like Sora was holding off on really rapping and saving it until this song just to let you know he's got high-level rap skill but can still make great music without displaying it on every record. With this record, I give the EP 4.5 out of 5 easily.
