Stack My Chips by Nate Joël
Keep it real with me, my friends. How many of you are rooting for a football team that's 0-3 right now? So why have you not released yourself from those shackles? That's a crazy way to live. It's ok, though, cause I've got you covered with new music to take your mind off the bullshit.
This week I ditched the Apple Music freeway in exchange for the mean streets of youtube again. That's right, and I endured countless back-to-back 15 second ads for you. Because I knew you needed the motherfucking waves dog. And again, I know I could cop the premium subscription but fuck that.
Anyway, though, I found the wave that is Nate Joël's music. Looking through his channel, you'll see Nate has an interesting strategy. Over the last year, Nate has released 13 visuals on his channel, and while they're all just about one minute long, they flow very nicely when played back to back.
Sidenote: I still absolutely despise when a good song is less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but Nate gets a pass cause this is good.
The latest offering, "Stack My Chips," is probably my favorite out of all the visuals. Nate raps over what would currently be seen as a Lofi rap beat. (don't blame me that's what the kids call them now). Notable lines like "I'll drown you just to stay afloat "and "Had to touch the road before I ever thought of switching lanes" land effortlessly on the mark with Nate's delivery. Great bars. Favorite lines. Period, hard stop.
The song rides and sounds best when paired with good weed and or a short drive. Accompanied by a clean visual with shots of Nate delivering bars around his neighborhood, I feel like this needs to be seen more. However, there's an enjoyment in listening to Nate wax poetic about his journey over these chill booms and baps.
Alright, my friends, I'm out. Check out "Stack My Chips" by Nate Joël. Keep your heads high, and remember that DM you send after the thirst trap is just going to sit in her inbox in mint condition, so you should probably Like a pic from 83 weeks ago just to up your chances. I'm kidding. Do not be caught down tremendously out here.
