Summer Vibes and Nippa's Afrobeats Journey in Nigeria with 'Reverse'

Imagine going to another continent just to shoot a music video for a song. That's exactly what Nippa did. The artist, born and raised in London, decided to go all the way to Nigeria to record the music video for his new single "Reverse". The expectations for a video under these circumstances could not disappoint the listener, and it certainly didn't.

The musician starts the music video with a tweet from the designer Olaolu Slawn saying: "Nippa came to Nigeria looking for his dad, gave up, then called me to ask where the women at. Someone save him please", and then proceeds to show Nippa living his best life for the next 2 minutes and 28 seconds, possibly in Lagos, the capital of Nigeria. Accompanied by friends and women, he brings those vibes throughout the whole video.

The music itself doesn't disappoint either. The artist skillfully taps into the afrobeats wave that is trending worldwide, and what better way to do it than by uniting with Nigeria, practically the birthplace of the genre, and its authenticity and originality that have shaped his career so far.

BenjiFlow's production also captures the vibes that the music aims to convey. The beat, unique and different, fits the English rapper's lyrics very well. The combination of the two forms a song that smells like summer.
