From memories to lyrics, one thing we tend to overlook when it comes to music, is the production.
If someone were to ask you who your favorite artist is, your mind races to your favorite song. You think of so many things like how crazy the artist delivery was, how relatable the song was or even your favorite line. However, one thing we tend to overlook when it comes to music is the beat. Of course, you can answer how the beat made you feel, but you can’t answer who produced the beat. No one is doing their homework on producers unless its a trend, because of that so many people are sleeping on the upcoming greats.
Take sin city native Cam O’bi. He is lowkey but, has been working with elite artist’s so far. In 2013 he produced Cocoa Butter Kisses for Chance The Rapper, Hollywood, LA for Roc Nation signee Vic Mensa. If that’s not impressive, he also produced SZA’s Dove’s In the Wind that features TDE labelmate, Kendrick Lamar.
Coming from the Jet Life family is New Orleans native Cash Fargo, who brings nothing but summer vibes and cold mixes to the Hip-Hop realm. He’s worked with nothing but with heavy hitters so far from Dom Kennedy, G Perico, Larry June, Riff Raff, and of course the big man himself, Curren$y.
Woah, Kenny! If you’re not familiar with that beat tag, start getting used to it. This East coast native is responsible for Smoke DZA’s Diamond, Automatic by Freddie Gibbs, JID’s Stick Talk, OMG by IDK, and of course Kenny Beats is behind Anger Management by Rico Nasty.
Up next is Maaly Raw, he went from basketball to beats. Learning how to do a few things from his cousin, he then sat and mastered his craft. Now the Philly native is out here doing numbers with Lil Uzi Vert, Meek Mill, Kur, PnB Rock, and the A$AP Mob.

Coming in next is Cardo Got Wings who is also making his city proud, the 34-year-old is bringing G-funk to the hip-hop scene. He’s worked with Cousin Stizz, Wiz Khalifa, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar and even racked up a Grammy with Drake for God’s Plan.
Coming from Detroit is Key Wane his motto is quality over quantity, some days he can a knock a beat out in 24 hours other times it can take up to a year. The two-time Grammy nominated producer’s motto is paying off; he has producer credits for Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Meek Mill, Jhene Aiko, and of course fellow Michigan native Big Sean.
The youngest out of the bunch is Tay Keith, the 22-year-old is not only a new college graduate, but he is also a newly chart-topper. He has producer credit’s for Key Glock, Sicko Mode by Travis Scott, Blockboy JB, Lil Baby, Nonstop by Drake and as of recent Before I Let Go for the queen herself, Beyonce.
CJ Fly, Kyle Dion, Wale, Blackbear, Pac Div and PAKER are some artists that California producer, ESTA has worked with. This producer is bringing soul, smooth snares, and warms elements to the table.
